We decided to leave town for the Fourth of July. We went to Palisades Reservoir, we thought it would be crazy busy in all the campsite, but it was not so. It did help that it was cold and rainy all weekend! All the rain did not stop us from having a great time though. We were very thankful that we had the trailer and weren't sleeping in a tent. I'm sure the family next to us had a very wet night! One of the fun things about camping is cooking in the dutch oven. Both Jeremy and I think that it's fun, and like to try different recipes. This was a recipe of Jeremy's and it was a success! A brownie mix topped with a can of pie cherries. Yummmm. (And because we are spoiled trailer campers, we even had vanilla ice cream on top!)
The girls waiting for the cobbler to cool off. They were going a little stir crazy because it rained most of the afternoon.
Maggy practicing fishing. We camped right by the water, but we were in Wyoming so we could not fish legally. The girls were a little disappointed and thought that I was silly that just down the road a mile we were back in Idaho and could fish, but not in the campground. After all it was the same fish in the same lake! I think Jeremy was a little relieved that we were in Wyoming and didn't have to hassle with fishing poles. We tied tree branches on the end of the fishing poles and they were satisfied with "fishing practice!"

We ventured on a hike while the sun was shining. The sunshine lasted about 20 minutes and then our hike was cut short due to a thunder storm. Pretty while it lasted.
