Black Friday

Every year I look forward to Black Friday. No, I do not push and shove, and I actually HATE crowds, and standing in line. Every year I get to WalMart at 5 a.m. and look around at all the crazies and then quietly to myself have a good chuckle, because I am one of those crazies! Just maybe not quite as extreme! You get to WalMart and discover the $3 PJ's aren't as cute and nice as they were on the cute little kids in the ad. You discover that the $2 DVD's are over by the milk?...by the time you find them they are LONG GONE. We make it over to Shopko and again leave empty handed, but it is still fun, and I often stand back in awe over the full shopping carts and wonder were everyone else's money comes from.

The three Crazies Ladies at 3:30 a.m. after our 12 a.m. bedtime sleeping in Mom and Dad's Lounge chairs and the front room holding Tabytha on my lap. Did I really sleep for three hours? No I did not!

Mom headed out with the ads in hand! Notice the rolled-up pants, she was so mad because we didn't notice them, and she went shopping with them that way all morning. Mom, it was 3:30 a.m. you're lucky I didn't wear my pants backward and inside out!

Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving was at Grandma Sherry's and Grandpa Gordon's house this year. Never a disappointing minute, not even for Maggy who got her wish of Pancakes on Thanksgiving!

Pancakes, Pancakes, Pancakes...Maggy is a VERY picky eater, but will eat any type of pancake any time of day! She loves them all! Normal, German, or roll-up it doesn't matter! Just don't ask her to eat chicken or turkey!

A new Thanksgiving tradition. Ties! Last year Dad wore a tie all day long even on a horse ride after dinner. This Year Jeremy joined in. As you can see the ties don't have to match. This year the ties came off right after dinner!

The typical Yost dinner Spread everything from Turkey to Mashpotatoes and everything in between. With plenty for days to come.

Gobble, Gobble says the Turkey

Another fun day at preschool. Gobble Gobble says the turkey. When I asked Maggy if we should cook her for Thanksgiving dinner she stated with a very serious face: "I don't like Turkey we are going to eat hot dogs and roll-up pancakes for dinner, Mom turkey's gross." Maggy you just made one turkey very happy, but you'll have to discuss that whole pancake plan with Grandma and Grandpa.

Turkey, Turkey look at you. Please be careful what you do. Thanksgiving day is almost here, and we eat turkey every year. Go and hide back in the woods, and we'll eat pizza like we should. Chanted to -Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.

First Grade School Programs

How special are first grade programs? I guess it depends on who you ask. Payge practice her part and had them both memorized, and the first grade teachers went to so much work. All the students had costumes and had learned cute little songs. Brilliant! Now I know why I don't teach first grade! It must take a very special person to put up with that much craziness.

Payge E. Green the Toothless Wonder

Payge has been working on her loose tooth for a while now. It was wiggly just a little bit, but not loose enough to pull. (I am a wimp and like them to wiggle when you breath in and out, before I think they are loose enough to pull.) Payge came running into the house Monday Afternoon yelling, "guess what Mom I lost my tooth...I was eating lunch and went to open the container and it pulled it out." I had packed her lunch today and as she went to open the Tupperware container with her teeth, out popped her tooth. I ask if it hurt...Nope just bled some and the cool tooth necklace the office gave her just made it even that more exciting!

When ask how much she thought the tooth fairy would bring her she answered, "I don't know. I guess a twenty would do." I remember getting $.25 from my tooth fairy. She was happy with $1.

She wrote a letter to the tooth fairy asking if she would only take the real tooth and leave the necklace tooth behind. The very next day she checked out Junie B. Jones the toothless wonder from the library and is now reading that chapter book.

Tabytha Sixth Months

Wow the last six months went super fast!! Taby's six months old, and has hit a few major miles stones this month for a baby.

I love my big sisters and laugh every time they talk to me. I can't wait for them to come home from school, and cry if they walk by

me without talking to me first.

I am a big girl sitting in my highchair and eating "real" food. Some of my favorites are pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and bananas. Although I still love my mommy the best!

I learned to sit up this month. I love sitting and seeing the world around me. I think it's a pretty cool trick! I love to play with toys and grab anything that I can reach!

Even though I look a lot like my sisters, my Mom thinks that I look like a Yost. She says that this picture proves it. I sure do have the Yost's chubby cheek syndrome.

Happy Halloween

October went by super fast! It seemed like we "celebrated" Halloween all month with preschool and all the other activities. Maybe it was because I was a sucker and decided to make the costumes this year, and that took all month. The girls were the three little pigs and Baylee was the big bad wolf. They were a lot of fun to make despite the fact that I really hate Halloween.

The ward trunk-or-treat....what a bust. Every year I wonder why we go...maybe next year we'll do something different. (probably not.)

I really went the extra mile and put make-up on the girls and they thought they were in heaven. I decided that when they are older and can start wearing make-up, WOW they will be beautiful!

I really was a party pooper and didn't even let the girls carve pumpkins. I bought sticky foam and let them cut out the different shapes to make pumpkin faces. It actually was a lot more fun then they thought it would be, and asked if they could do it again next year...Heck Yea!

Payge...Payge...Payge...

Some days this is really how Payge looks! She came home with a whole bunch of fun Halloween goodies from school. She was soooo proud of the cool glasses right until she missed the door and walked right into the wall instead. I haven't seen those cool glasses since she got the goose-egg on the side of her head.
