Just Got My Ears Pierced

This year Baylee has worked so hard in school. At the beginning of the year I told her if she got 100 AR points that she could get her ears pierced. This was a big deal for Baylee cause she doesn't enjoy reading all that much. I have to say that this school year change that for Baylee, she now reads all the time, and is on book #4 of Harry Potter. I couldn't be prouder!

We planned a trip to the mall after school, and about a hour before she came home I got a phone call, "Mom, my stomach hurts because I'm so nervous about getting my ears pierced." I reassured her that we didn't have to do it, but she said she was excited and wanted to. I thought once we got to the mall Baylee would chicken out. She is what you might call a "Wimp." I kept telling her that once she got the first ear done, she would have to do both! After the first ear, she looked up and said, "that wasn't too bad." The second ear must have hurt a little more cause she jumped and had a pained look on her face. The day was a hit, without a single tear!

Mom's Birthday

This explains it all. It's my party...and I'll make my own cake...and I'll buy my own present....and the older you get the less birthdays are memorable. Just think, by the time I'm 50, April 18 will be completely obsolete and be remove from the calendar year!
Taby was quite sad that her cake was gone. I thought she was sad cause her mommy was just getting older. Go figure, it was the cake.
I'm a beauty I know, and yes the three candles do represent 32, just use your imagination.
Really my birthday was pretty good. A nice Sunday at home. What more could anyone ask for?

Swimming

One of the funnest parts of the trip to Twin Falls was swimming in the hotel swimming pool. It was a great fun time with lots of squeals and splashes. Grandma Green was a real trooper and swam both Friday night and Saturday night with all the grand kids. It was nice to see everyone having so much fun! Taby was quite the attention grabber. There were people in the lobby looking through the window laughing at her as she played in the swimming pool with the goggles.

Even though Taby loves the bath tub it took her a little while to catch on to the swimming pool experience. After awhile she started to like it and I'm sure by the end of the summer will LOVE it.

Hot Tubbin' with Grandma....and only Grandma!

Maggy isn't in love with the water. She hung to the steps most of the time. You could say that she was chicken!

Big sister Baylee. What great help. What would I do without her?

Family Pictures

Family Pictures...not my favorite thing in the world, but we had help choosing clothing and colors and the opportunity was given to us. We have not had family pictures taken since Payge was about Tabytha's age so I guess it was about time. Thanks to Aunt Bonnie the girls had beautiful fun new dresses to wear for pictures.

Tabytha 11 Months (yes I always have this dirty look!)

Last but not least was the reason for the celebration! Bill (4) and Austin (5) Green were sealed to Bonnie and Eric in the Twin Falls Temple. What sweet, fun, ADORABLE little boys! They couldn't have a better Mom and Dad as Bonnie and Eric, and nobody deserves these two sweet boys more than they do. It just goes to prove the fact that, the best things come to those who wait. Like Bonnie said, "They even came potty trained!" Welcome to the Green Family Bill and Austin we love you already!

Each Life That Touches Ours for Good

Jeremy and I have been certified as foster parents for 2 years now and just the other day got a call asking if we would be willing to help out a newborn baby girl. How could I say no to that? I know that it was a crazy move given the fact that we have four girls of our own, Taby being the youngest at 10 1/2 months. We gave it a try and so far it has been very busy but rewarding.

What a sweet tiny, little thing she is. So mild mannered, and a welcome addition to our family for a little while. The trick is trying not to become to attached. (Good Luck, right?)

Tabytha adores her and won't leave her a lone. We have to be very careful to keep her out of arms reach. Taby will pull her blanket to get closer to the baby.

She loves giving her kisses. I wish that she loved giving me kisses....

Each Life That Touches Ours for Good

Each life that touches ours for good reflects thine own great mercy, Lord; thou sendest blessings from above the words and deeds of those who love.

What greater gift dost thou bestow, what greater goodness can we know than Christ-like friends, whose gentle ways strengthen our faith, enrich our days.

When such a friend from us departs, we hold forever in our hearts a sweet and hallowed memory, bringing us nearer, Lord, to thee.

Sunday Waffles for Breakfast

Waffles are a favorite at our house. It doesn't even have to be breakfast time. Any type of pancake/waffle will get gobbled-up at our house. I think that this is a "green gene." Meaning that I grew-up eating eggs and bacon while Jeremy grew-up eating pancakes and waffles. To this day I still prefer eggs and bacon over the sweetness of pancakes any day!

Maggy's our biggest pancake fan. She would eat them everyday!

We took Ryver to church with us today so Raini and Scott could deal with some difficult things today. Again I'm so thankful for four beautiful girls.

Getting dressed in PJ's right after church is a "Yost Gene" A Gene that I've passed on to the girl's. It does make it better since church is at 1 p.m. and it's just about bed time after dinner anyway!
Taby obviously enjoyed her strawberry waffles. I think she even got a bath after!

Easter

This was the first Easter that we have spent at our house in many, many years. In fact this was the first Easter Maggy has had at home. Maggy wanted to go to Grandma Sherry and Grandpa Gordon's house because she was convinced that the Easter Bunny wouldn't know that we were at our own house.

"Eggciting"

Easter morning. Just about as good as Christmas morning without all the hype. It was a very special Easter. It was General Conference Weekend, and we could just enjoy the whole day as a family. The kids all got new church shoes and enough candy to keep them busy and quiet all day!

Taby wasn't to interested in anything until we put the eggs in a box and then she wanted to play. She would take them in and out of the box, thinking that this was "hot" stuff.

My girls are so easy to please. Give them a pen and a new tablet and they think they've died and gone to heaven. I hope they always stay this low maintenance!

Taby liked eating the hard boiled eggs. It's a good thing since we boiled 3 dozen. Someone better eat them!
